I grilled some plastic cheese (you know that processed cheese slice stuff) to make a sandwich, and when pulling it out from under the grill some melted cheese went on my thumb. I now have a stinging blister that’s driving me crazy. Strange thing, some of us like that same blistering thing when it happens to the roof of our mouth, no fucking clue why, but on our thumb its just sore and annoying.

Owen sent an email about coming down this weekend. My first response ‘eek the house is a mess’. Yes its true love *snort*. I like the guy well enough but it isn’t even close to love, let alone true love. Talking about love, I am feeling really proud of Tree right now. She told someone today, wrote to them to explain her feelings. She was very careful not to put pressure on the other person to do anything about that, owning her own feelings and desires. The situation is very complicated, and that’s an understatement, but for her to acknowledge her feelings is a big deal.

A big storm has been hitting New Zealand lately. Storms up north, bad snow down south. For some reason Dunedin has missed the most of it, although its been damn cold. I really wanted some snow to fall, real snow that lays on the ground. Cold is good when cold comes with snow. I joked to a friend the other day that north of us got an earthquake and south of us got a snow storm and we got nothing. Now I know if I had to live through a 7.1 earthquake I might not enjoy the damage of it, but I have this love for the wild forces of nature, so I do feel I’ve missed out.
